Disordered Eating Therapy

I work with clients who feel stuck in their eating disorder recovery process, and I also support families navigating the impact of an eating disorder together. I help clients and caregivers better understand eating disorder behaviors, reduce blame and power struggles, and build routines that support recovery at home. I support clients in building routines that actually work for them, understanding their behaviors, and developing tools that support recovery over time. I take a holistic approach, focusing on empathy, body acceptance, and self-kindness. Using a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, I honor each client’s unique body and experiences, helping them reconnect with their needs and well-being. I have experience supporting clients with anorexia, binge eating disorder, body dysmorphia, and ARFID.

My Approach

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including CBT-E to address core beliefs about food and body, DBT for emotional regulation and coping with urges, and IFS/parts work to explore the protective roles of disordered eating behaviors. I use body-focused interventions, including mindfulness and gentle embodiment techniques, to help clients reconnect with their bodies.
